THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A SMALL PROJECT

Most of our work starts small—we’re asked to research and write an article, give a presentation a shot in the arm or work through a social media campaign—but we’re always focused on the big picture. From print to digital, internal to external, we’ll help you tell your story, stand apart from the crowd and move to the next level of growth.

Here are a few examples from our first year in business.

Building (and Rebuilding) Better Brands

Creating a new brand is simple. Creating one that resonates within the market is altogether another story. Because 148 understands what makes professional services organizations work, we understand how to orchestrate a clear and distinct voice that stands apart in a crowd. Big or small, part or parcel, we got your back.

LOCAL ARCHITECT. GLOBAL EXPERIENCE.

148 helped Three B Architecture elevate its market profile, including identity, web and social media strategies.

A NEW NAME. A NEW LOOK. A TRUSTED PARTNER.

A total re-branding system for a healthcare technology company that puts the patient at the center of everything they do.

Thom and his team did an incredible job creating our new brand. We launched it last month and we couldn’t be happier. The messaging and positioning are spot on, and it really resonated with our clients.

Brochures, Presentations and Pixels

Yes, we do that brochure thing. We’ll even bang out a killer PowerPoint if that’s what it takes. But, these days, shouldn’t your strategy be more digital than print?

COLLATERAL

Qualifications, resumes, case studies–you name it, we’ve done it. So, we’ve got you covered, especially when it comes to design templates and systems that save time, money and mental health.

DEATH BY POWERPOINT

We’ve written, designed and produced more presentations than we care to admit, so we understand what makes an audience sit up and listen. Sure, we’ll do your PowerPoint, but we’ll also push you in other directions, too.

DIGITAL

Everything we do has a digital component to it—from dot coms and micro-sites to EDM and social. Our job is not only to produce but to get the chorus to sing in harmony across all channels and platforms. And that’s what we do.

You need two things for thought leadership: Thoughts and Leaders.
We’ll help you with both.

Thought Leadership

Here at 148 we believe in the power of the written word, even if it appears in pixels. At our core, we are writers, storytellers and provocateurs who have written hundreds (maybe thousands) of articles, white papers and blog posts that enrich the conversation. We really don’t care whose name appears in the by-line as long as the clarity of the thinking and depth of the ideas are righteous.

We can brainstorm topics, handle research, editing or multi-channel distribution—all to propel your ideas in the marketplace. Check out the Market Insights section for some of our latest thinking. Or give us a call to chat about how best to get your ideas out and your accomplishments recognized.

Everyone loves a good story. And everyone loves finding themselves in that story.

Storytelling

Whether you’re speaking to an internal audience, a prospective client or a potential member of the team, we know how to strike the right tone and use the right medium (or media) to tell clear, compelling stories that leave a lasting impression. We especially love the challenge of simplifying complex ideas in ways your audience understands, appreciates and respects.

THE BRIDGE

The AIA DC asked 148 to develop an animation to explain a new concept in project management and delivery. Two videos were completed, one focused on the general concept while the second drilled down into more specifics.

ANNUAL DESIGN MONOGRAPH

How does a design practice celebrate its design chops? Works in Progress, or WIP, has been showcasing the best of this firm’s work on the boards for more than 10 years. And it’s not a bad recruiting tool for a growing firm, either.

WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU DO?

148 created a lighthearted animation to explain the value OneEQ brings to a project. We made their complex and technical expertise simple and understandable using tangible examples and metrics.

We’re a successful regional practice that needed to focus our message. Thom and his team helped us put shape to our culture in a manner that differentiates us from our competitors.

Strategy, Structure and Systems

We know what makes marketing work–and what renders it useless and irrelevant. 148 helps firms define the systems and infrastructure to remain agile, responsive and on point. This year we worked with two firms to help them transition into national players. This included strategic advice on positioning and messaging as well as marketing team structure. While both firms are recognizable players, both prefer to remain under the cloak of anonymity but boy oboy we wish we could tell you about them.
